Junior Auxiliary is committed to providing an ongoing and committed relationship to children in our community through cultural experiences and individualized support to be successful in school and life. Food, clothing, and emotional support are also provided. Two projects will be implemented under Child Welfare.


Backpack Buddies

JA membership directly serves students in need at a local elementary school (Parks Elementary) by providing non perishable food items to families in need once a month. Referrals are made by teachers, staff and administrators on a monthly basis.
Based on referrals, students/families will receive a paper bag with non perishable food items once a month. A form will be completed by teachers, contact person will notify shoppers and delivery person will organize and distribute items on the 3rd Friday of the month no later than 2:00 p.m.

Bear Bucks Rewards Party

JA Membership directly serves 5th grade students at Parks Elementary School by providing mentoring as well as rewarding good behavior by criteria established by the teachers. The Bear Bucks Rewards Party hosted by JA once a month satisfies the requirements for a Child Welfare Project through the National Association of Junior Auxiliary.
The Bear Bucks Rewards Party hosted by JA members is held once a month. Students who meet criteria established by teachers will be invited to attend the party during activity period. A variety of themes will be used throughout the year. Games, cards, trivia, and special snacks will be provided. Dates for the events are listed on Sign Up sheet.
